Definitely a step up from the 2nd book.

I just finished the third book of the gamebook adventures series recently and I will say that its renewed my faith in the series and is on par with the first one. It could have been a little bit better in terms of different paths and freedom, but the story was interesting enough for me to actually play a few times and get the ultimate ending and there was actually a little character interaction, dialogue, and change of scenery as opposed to the second book. I would definitely recommend the app to people who are fans of the CYOA type.
